2023 Getaway - Benalla and Albury
In the twenty or more years that the Club has been in existence this was easily the worst Getaway weather we’ve ever had. Friday at Benalla wasn’t too bad - typical late Autumn; overcast, and a bit windy. But from then on it became diabolical, with constant rain and freezing conditions at Albury.
By Sunday morning some had decided to head for home, and only five pairs tackled the Dave Ingram Memorial Ambrose. Of those, only three struggled on valiantly to finish. This signature event was finally won by Missy K and Justin E who returned a very commendable 69.5 net score. Results for all three day’s events can be found on our Getaway Results page.
In spite of the disappointing conditions, everyone had a great weekend, and much time was spent in the dry, warm Clubhouse enjoying a few drinks and talking about possible venues for next year’s Getaway.
